Flooded chiller is a type of chiller in which a flooded evaporator is used. The Flooded chiller works exactly the opposite of the chiller with the DX evaporator. In a flooded chiller, water is passed through the copper tubes and refrigerant around the tubes, and somehow the copper tubes containing water are immersed in a shell filled with evaporating refrigerant, but in the DX evaporator chiller, the refrigerant is in Copper tube flow, and it is the water that surrounds the tube and moves them inside the shell.
